Indianapolis Public Library
The Indianapolis Public Library came into this project with strong brand recognition, but their materials lacked consistency, accessibility, and a unified visual system. In partnership with a local agency and the IPL team, I helped refresh and evolve the brand to better serve their diverse community.
The update included refining the color palette to meet ADA accessibility standards, introducing flexible new design elements, and creating cohesive templates for both print and digital applications, including a redesigned magazine layout. I also designed custom logos for the library’s Kids Central and Teen Central areas, giving these spaces their own distinct identities while still feeling connected to the larger IPL brand.
All of this work was brought together in a comprehensive brand guideline, equipping IPL’s in-house designers with clear tools and direction to confidently carry the refreshed identity forward. The result is a brand system that feels polished, inclusive, and unified.
